Released late Janurary, this project from recording artist Frio Wintour is a seven track project featuring Akward Jaz  and Shoy with beats by Dryl VICIOUS and Frio hi self.

A Pharaohs Wintour is a melodic tape with an adventurous sound that has cement seemingly derived from Kanye West’s and Travis Scott’s music. This project is filled with heavy autotune uses and lyrics, adlibs, and ambient production that creates a subversive atmosphere.

“Guilt & Nightmares” feels like a cut inspired by Rodeo but mellowed down considerably to be less thunderous and grand. The production on this tune is atmospheric. Divided into two halves, the first portion of the song is triumphant with powerful vocals by hoy whine the second half after the beat flip sees Frio cruise over the beat at a steady tempo.

In what sounds like a love letter to 808s & Heartbreak, “Ballad Of Monica” sounds like a Ye record that I can’t quite pit my if her on. His cadence on this lovelorn record is rhythmic and infectious and the sparkling production present on the second half is super smooth. If you enjoy emotional autotune laced love ballets and icy, crisp production then you’ll definitely resonate with Frio’s content and sound.
