Zoot & Friends flex hard as hell on new tape | #Music

Producer Zoot is one of the most improved artists we’ve been watching for almost two years now. Garnering support and contributions from big ELEVATOR favorites Corporate Lingo, Liamette, and RobOlu, Zoot figured out how to highlight not only the best of his own skills, but the talents of all the incredible folks he has the privilege to call his “& Friends”

Standout tracks include “LAMB LAMB LAMB” featuring SEANTHOMMONEY, Liamette, and Corporate Lingo and “Porsche Panorama” featuring TCURRYYY and LO<3 (formerly Lil Drip Dry), and Zoot laid the foundation on “Blueprint” for a perfect underground ode to “Sold Out Dates”. “LAMB LAMB LAMB” was even shared on Twitter by Awful Records’ own Father, which indicates to us, even more,  the importance of keeping eyes on the rising Atlanta-based producer.

When asked about how it came together, Zoot explained over the phone, “It was your typical Atlanta shit, homies smoking weed, kicking it together at the studio- at either my crib or Lingo’s crib. We made a ton of songs and then four or five months later, nobody had dropped them and I was like, ‘I should drop them as my own tape,’ because I mixed and mastered everything, recorded most of it, made every single piece, so it’s like, ‘Fuck, I just need to get something out there.’ So much heat was being held for a long time, I had to let it out. No more holding back. With so many people involved, I had to be the one to coordinate the drop.”
