Kevin Gates made a stop over in Atlanta on his 32-date “I’m Him Tour” which launched October 12th in Chicago and runs through the end of November. Gates played at The Coca-Cola Roxy which opened in April of 2017. The 3,600 capacity venue is located in The Battery, a mixed-use development next to SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. It is conveniently located near the intersection of interstates 75 and 285.

The legendary Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre was originally located in the heart of Buckhead and was one of the Southeast’s premier music venues before closing in 2008.

The new two-tiered intimate venue has a flexible configuration including a general admission floor, theatre-style seating and permanent seating in the balcony. Both levels are ADA wheelchair accessible. The 53,000 square foot site has state of the art sound, lights and production capabilities for live music, corporate meetings and private events. Coca-Cola Roxy hosts approximately 40 shows per year and presents a diverse range of local, national and international artists and bands.

Rising rapper Rod Wave opened for Gates, delivering that niche tried and true soulful brand of hip-hop.

Gates went through the hits on this Monday night in Atlanta much to the raucous crowd’s delight. Fighting through being under the weather, Gates managed to deliver a moving performance. He even lead a prayer for the concert-goers in the building. Gates has always been overly spiritual, especially when in the public eye.

Various newscasts covering Gates’ trial flashed on the screen. “Gates was originally offered a plea deal but said no to that”.

He brought his family on stage and still left everything on the stage. His performance of his new single “Push It” put an asterisk on a night that sold resilience.
