Toronto has its fair share of artists, but women are oddly unrepresented in the city. Today, however, Shaili Champ is ready to change that. She delivers her latest effort, “Call In Sick,” visually a fine mix between M.I.A and Cardi B to encourage self-expression. The video is directed by Sol, who has worked with many up and coming artists as well. “She love it when they give her brains, but she’ll never fuck with a no brainer / Frontal lobe grown, let her be your trainer,” she raps.
