Hull band LIFE shows their distinct punk edge in their exciting new video for “Bum Hour” | #Music

Hull, UK band LIFE has become one of my favorites of very many incredibly gifted bands emerging from Britain and their track “Bum Hour” is both an edgy punk tune as well as full of the kind of tongue in cheek humor that is synonymous with the notoriously witty British people. The song is driven by a raucous guitar riff that is matched with equally loud percussion that are an ideal backdrop to the frontman’s groaning shouts. Check the video out for yourself and I am sure that any punk fans will fall in love with this pretty quickly. Wiardon unloads bars over a Thelonious Martin instrumental in his latest single | #Music

Austin, TX rapper Wiardon has become a sort of underground darling over the past few months, and rightfully so. His genuine outlook on life is refreshing from a fellow teenager and this combined with his traditional rap style and emphasis on his bars has endeared him to nearly anyone who is lucky enough to discover his music. He recently linked with Thelonious Martin for an excellent track titled “Blindfold” that shows all of Wiardon’s lyrical ability that has become his calling card. Rahli recruits Z Money for his lively new track “24 Hours” | #Music

St. Louis rapper Rahli has very much caught my attention recently with a growing string of music video releases that have all been some of my favorite tracks to drop in the last month. He recruited Z Money for this new track and he slid onto the track well, matching Rahli’s distinct energy. Rahli is still manic and slobbering with his impassioned delivery and I am so excited to hear this distinct flow get more and more fine-tuned as time goes on. Keep an eye on Rahli. He is as unique as they come and only getting better. Watch the “24 … Continue reading Rahli recruits Z Money for his lively new track “24 Hours” | #Music

Mavi and GRiMM DOZA link for a slow-burning single | #Music

Current rising underground talent Mavi recently linked with GRiMM DOZA who has become almost a pillar in the underground scene in the past five years for a collaboration that makes almost perfect sense. The Charlotte rapper Mavi spit his laid-back yet verbose bars over the very low-key and mystical instrumental telling stories of his youth and breaking down his current life problems with his now trademark sleepy flows. Mavi has been taking the new niche “alt-rap” (which is a moniker I hate, but there is no better one yet) lane by storm and has impressed the ears of many, including … Continue reading Mavi and GRiMM DOZA link for a slow-burning single | #Music

Cyrax takes a melodic vocal approach on his new release “True Pt. 3” | #Music

Divine Council’s Cyrax is back with a new heater today titled “True Pt. 3,” and I am really feeling this song. The instrumental is head-knocking while gently melodic with a sweet vocal sample that blends beautifully into the beat. Cyrax spits his melodic, slightly-autotuned bars over this and it is a fantastic combination, making this latest release one of my favorites from Cyrax recently. I am eager to see what Cyrax has up his sleeve and I have been very impressed by his output as of late. Stream “True Pt. 3” here: Continue reading Cyrax takes a melodic vocal approach on his new release “True Pt. 3” | #Music

Atlanta’s Nadia Marie drops debut EP | #Music

In accordance with her Spotify artist profile, I must confess I find myself with no other option but to share the facts that Atlanta’s Nadia Marie makes songs about having amnesia, getting hit by cars and breaking your heart. Nadia Marie‘s voice and lyrics are original enough to warrant some attention, but what makes the attention valid is the ear for production. Her music seems to walks a razor fine line, juggling lively satire and deathly serious attitudes. Her new EP, “Weekday Weekend,” a 5 track effort, is now out everywhere independently.
