Teenage talent OsoWavey Jay reflects in his “Long Day” visual | #Music

London artist OsoWavey Jay is one of my favorite young talents rising from the UK and he recently dropped a new visual for his track “Long Day” following up his recent EP School Boy Jay that was well received by the masses. He shows wisdom beyond his teenage years examining both his mental state as well as the things around him that have changed since his rap career has begun to take off. He speaks on hiding pain behind a fake smile and ponders keeping this covered or interacting with his sadness, which is a challenge that all kids from violent upbringings have … Continue reading Teenage talent OsoWavey Jay reflects in his “Long Day” visual | #Music

Kojey Radical brings his amazing track “20/20” to life with an intense video | #Music

Earlier this month I wrote about Kojey Radical’s track “20/20” that immediately became one of my favorite songs this summer and one of my favorite releases from a London artist ever, and goddamn it, weeks later as the visual for this track has arrived “20/20” has only grown on me since the original drop. His flows are unbelievable and I cannot stress that enough. Kojey Radical’s delivery is truly second to one as he is a master of navigating both pitch and inflection making each of his releases exciting and different from the prior, ensuring that his catalog is never dull. … Continue reading Kojey Radical brings his amazing track “20/20” to life with an intense video | #Music

Sid Shyne continues to uphold Atlanta’s underground legacy on his new EP | #Music

Since his release of his “RYU” visual last year Sid Shyne has been firmly implanted on my radar for artists rising from Atlanta and his new six-track EP 3100, Vol. 1 builds on many of the underground innovations from Shyne’s hometown that were set forth years before. “Tapped In” was one of my favorites from the extended-play for its incredible flute driven melody that matched Shyne’s flow well. The project features only $odaman and Dior who perform well on their guest verses. Stream 3100, Vol. 1 here: Continue reading Sid Shyne continues to uphold Atlanta’s underground legacy on his new EP | #Music

HTR$ makes his ELEVATOR debut with an exciting EP | #Music

HTR$ recently stood head and shoulders above his counterparts in the ELEVATOR submissions inbox with his five-track EP Untitled that builds upon the underground sound often associated with SoundCloud that has totally taken over the music industry in the past several years. Although the EP is not the most innovative material, HTR$’s vocal performance and the production of Untitled made it a very easy release to gravitate towards. “Vlone Virus” was one of my favorites and shows off a great deal of the talent that was instantly visible to me. ZZ and Lonewolf link for an intense visual | #Music

Recently this visual surfaced in the ELEVATOR submissions inbox, and aside from the Lonewolf’s masterful direction of this video, the brooding, haunting vocals of ZZ were instantly attractive to me. “Fire” is intense and shows ZZ working through his love problems and very well encapsulates the depression and dark-imagery that is almost always paired with heartbreak. I am glad to have discovered this track and am eager to hear more from Los Angeles artist (by way of India) ZZ. Watch “Fire” here: Continue reading ZZ and Lonewolf link for an intense visual | #Music

Natalie Green’s project “So Far, So Good” is absolutely phenomenal | #Music

Natalie Green’s new project So Far, So Good is one of my favorite full-length indie offerings of the year, as Green’s vocal performance is masterful from front to back, but the production even outshines his singing at points, giving a diverse palate of soundscapes and approaches every track in a different way, but each comes out wonderfully nonetheless. While the album is certainly distinctly indie and there are no real curveballs, he is able to perform well at each tempo that is heard, as well as mesh with some punkier moods, while also chilling out with some more calm cuts. The excellent … Continue reading Natalie Green’s project “So Far, So Good” is absolutely phenomenal | #Music

Clew needs answers in his intimate new visual | #Music

Atlanta artist Clew has been one of my favorites out of that talent-laden city for quite some time now, and his latest visual effort for his track “No Maybe’s” is a fantastic addition to the already solid catalog the young artist is building. Produced by Maraki Lotto, “No Maybe’s” is a reflective track where Clew examines his love relationships and needs answers from his love interest, and funnily enough, the woman with him in the video is Clew’s longtime girlfriend who also appeared in his unforgettable “First Whip” video last year. I am really excited to see Clew continue blossoming … Continue reading Clew needs answers in his intimate new visual | #Music
