Compton based MC Channel Tres is back with a new single, assisted by experimental hip-hop pillar JPEGMAFIA, titled “Black Moses.” The instrumental has a funky bass line and overall atmosphere, which perfectly allows for Tres’ soulful, yet monotone delivery that is propelled by its innane baritone. His vocals are almost ASMR in their effortless deep tones. This track has a really fun groove about it and I can’t wait to listen to it late at night. Peggy’s guest verse was as bellicose and politically charged as ever, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. I really enjoyed this listen and love what both of these artists are doing right now.
