Cherele is originally from South Florida but is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. She reminds me of Santogold and Missy Elliot in one. Her latest single “Time’s UP!” is a prime example of her sound. Her sound is bold and unapologetic, just like her aesthetic – “fuck a freshman list, I ain’t been a freshman since” she exclaims in the song.
