Grandma shows us he’s ready | #Music

Grandma releases a heavy single titled “Downtown Life”. My first thought was “whoa”, this is a great song. It makes me feel like I’m watching a classic 80’s film. The song could live on a soundtrack easily. Another which makes it more fire is that he produced the record himself. Hailing from ATL you would never expect a sound like this to transpire from the south. The cover art was also cool, along with the promo video he dropped on his instagram. It’s a feel good record which makes the listener want to replay it, an easy listen to say the … Continue reading Grandma shows us he’s ready | #Music

RYAHN likes her rhythm and blues with grunge | #Music

RYAHN does something to my spirit with her new song “Sad Boy”. Independently released, it is difficult to conjure up the image of this 21-year old artist writing and performing a song like this somewhere in New York City after leaving Broward County. The drums are languid, and the guitar is melancholy. But the voice. The intonations RYAHN extolls on wax here are ripe for emotion-picking. They Hate Change drop a new chaotic visual for their track “GIANCARLO” | #Music

Deathbomb Arc artists They Hate Change are back with an up-tempo, chaotic new offering titled “Giancarlo” with an up-close and personal visual. The production is raucous and borderline dance influenced and the pair of artists spit their bellicose bars with ease, showing off their ability to effortlessly switch up flows. Asheville rapper Teyg connects with NoCap for an emotional new song | #Music

Asheville rapper Teyg is back with a new track, this time featuring NoCap for their emotional track “Diamond Out the Rough.” Teyg recently dropped a Stunna 4 Vegas accompanied video that was his introduction to the ELEVATOR pages, but he may have topped that exceptional release with this new offering. Teyg and NoCap both spit their heartfelt bars over a melancholy instrumental driven by a guitar melody with thumping percussion. Keep an eye on Teyg as he continues to develop and surround himself with other up and coming artists from the talent laden state of North Carolina and beyond. Slayter and Retch finally collide for a grimy new video | #Music

Slayter and Retch recently collided for a new collaborative track that is incredibly dope. Both of these artists have been on quite the run recently, both dropping beloved projects this summer and they stand at the forefront of the next generation of east coast MCs. Their track “Money and Power” is confident and and braggadocious, and Retch and Slayter blend together perfectly and I would love a collaborative project between the two. The instrumental is also incredibly hard with a trancey melody and thumping percussion.
