Philly artist Tawobi feels likes Miyazaki on his latest single | #Music

Tawobi is a Philly artist who is now a lot more established (5 videos & 4 EP’s under his belt now). The past two years have been filled with consistency and isolation – laser focus onto his work. His latest single “Miyazaki” featuring fellow collective mate (Highest Basement Collective) IHATEYOUSHEED  is a solidified stance he is here to stay. The song’s title is inspired by Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki. Tawobi’s growth mentality has helped him persevere past heartache, dropping out of school and moving back to his hometown of Philadelphia, going through evictions, shit jobs, drug abuse and shitty situationships – … Continue reading Philly artist Tawobi feels likes Miyazaki on his latest single | #Music

Soulful Duo SRNDR delivers soulful and alternative ode to resiliency in love and partnership | #Music

Outstanding Los Angeles based duo SRNDR (Chase Aaron & Lovsky) revisit our page with yet another hit single and music video for their latest single “Too Much.” Visuals were directed by Vanduncan Phillips. The unique ’70’s-like aesthetic adds a special touch to the over all picture – the duo goes back and forth asking each other when did shit start changing? Heartbreak dialogue, explaining the confusion between two souls who are overwhelmed by the uncertainty of where their relationship is headed. What I love about this duo is how consistent they are with content on all levels. I’ve had the immense … Continue reading Soulful Duo SRNDR delivers soulful and alternative ode to resiliency in love and partnership | #Music

Tommy Ice bears his soul on his transparent new track “Forever” | #Music

Atlanta’s Tommy Ice is preaching positivity on his latest single release “Forever.” The youthful talent took a distinct introspective turn on this track, breaking down past relationships, his coping mechanisms, shortcomings in relationships, and his strained family life. Tommy ponders about if all of the money he has made is worth the trouble that comes with it, and this seems to be a core issue with many young stars who were thrust into the spotlight early on. This track is built upon a rattling beat with a distinctly melancholy melody. This is one of my favorie songs from Tommy Ice … Continue reading Tommy Ice bears his soul on his transparent new track “Forever” | #Music

GRLS are the next big thing. | #Music

I know an astonishingly little amount about GRLS, but after a few listens to some of their work from earlier this year and now their latest single “Sin Camino” I am fully convinced that they will have quite an illustrious career. Their vocals are dreary yet sweet and “Sin Camino” has an overpoweringly tense tone, but this energy transfers into something completely different yet beautiful after the chorus crescendoes into a distorted bridge. The production is fantastic and heavily dance-inspired and I am unbelievably eager to hear more from GRLS. Stream “Sin Camino” here: Continue reading GRLS are the next big thing. | #Music

Nate Traveller recruits AK the Savior for his bright and melodic new track “Blossom” | #Music

Naples, FL artist Nate Traveller is simultaneously one of the most hyped artists in 2019’s musical landscape while also one of the most mysterious, and this intrigue is not because of some hermit-like enigmatic personality, but rather a slim catalog that hasn’t allowed fans many glimpses into his world. Hopefully “Blossom” is a signal that this will soon be changing. Nate tapped Underachievers member AK the Savior for this upbeat and sanguine track and he added an uplifting rap verse that fits well alongside Traveller’s impassioned vocals and giddy bars. Perhaps the most touching part of this song that could … Continue reading Nate Traveller recruits AK the Savior for his bright and melodic new track “Blossom” | #Music

Quiet Luke’s video for “Interference” is refreshingly unique and visually breathtaking | #Music

For the past several days the ELEVATOR site was experiencing some technical difficulties, and by far the worst part of this was knowing that I had to wait to post Quiet Luke’s newest visual which is hands down one of the most unique and creative endeavors I have seen in the past month. First and foremost the “Interference” video is aesthetically breathtaking with beautiful film-grain shots that are mostly draped in a blue haze, and this gives us a great look at Quiet Luke who is an artist many likely aren’t familiar with. Sonically the track is also just as … Continue reading Quiet Luke’s video for “Interference” is refreshingly unique and visually breathtaking | #Music
